On Tuesday the 23rd of June 2009, during  “Vinexpo” in Bordeaux, Jacopo Poli and Dirk Niepoort, presented the new “Grappa Elevata in Barili di Porto”.

This Grappa was born from the co-operation between the Porto Winery founded by the Niepoorts, in 1842, in Vila Nova de Gaia - Portugal, and the Poli Distillery founded by Giobatta Poli in 1898, in Schiavon - Italy.

Jacopo Poli visited the historical site of the Niepoort winery and after tasting various Portos chose those casks containing an extraordinary Colheita from 1991.
In our cellars, they are enriching this memorable Grappa with unique aromatic notes.

Together with Dirk Niepoort, Jacopo Poli invites you to discover the result of this unique co-operation.
